Some tumblrs actually have the 1280 resolution, but when clicked, they link to the 500 one.

This extension attempts to automatically find and display the bigger image, if a higher resolution is available.

UPDATE: Now works with gifs! [from 250/400 to 500 resolution]

I think it comes to be a little bit bulky when youre dealing with a bunch of images... so, my request would be if you could do another extnsion in where instead of opening another tab, the extension is a button where if you click it, it takes you from the low res image, to the 1280 url, but in the same tab. thanks.

Panther Wills 2014-11-06 I need it to work on the dashboard since things look terrible on the retina display. This extension doesn't do that for me.
