This extension shows the apps overview when opening a new tab in Chrome.
Make sure to use Chrome version 84+ with this extension, otherwise the automatic selection of the locationbar text doesn't work.
Since Google updated Chrome to version 29, the App overview is no longer shown, when opening a new tab. This extension restores that behaviour to the way it was.
Tip: the keyboard shortcut CTRL+L (Windows/Linux) or CMD+L (OSX) highlights the URL.

I was hoping this extension would restore the app access in a new tab per the description....when i click on the extension it takes me back to the extension page....not what was advertised....so still looking for a solution to restore this feature. |

Loved it forever, the omnibar doesnt even bother me because i love opening my tab to see all my apps. i do have one recent problem, which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. i switched over to a new laptop, and now the extension only shows chrome webstore. where did gmail, docs, youtube, sheets, etc. go??? |

This extension is either hijacking my machine to mine bitcoins or it is written with the most inefficient kind of code. Uses 110% of laptop power when enabled and Chrome is open. This makes absolutely no sense at all, what could it be doing besides its stated function? |
