Immerse in your favorite TV shows and videos with Iago! Starting with Japanese!

Sign up to not only continue watching the videos you already love watching but learn with some real world examples at the same time.

➤ Supported on Netflix, YouTube, Disney+ (and more coming soon...)

➤ Watch, Review, Recall all in the same platform
We’ll do the flashcard making so you don’t have to! Iago automatically keeps track of the words / grammar you’ve seen and has built custom spaced-repetition quizzes for you to recall the content you’ve seen so far.

➤ The only platform that tracks grammar
We believe grammar is just as important as vocabulary — especially how easy it is to forget part of the structure. Iago tracks and will display grammar on the content you’re watching.

➤ Keep track of your progress globally
Progress isn’t bound to a list or deck anymore, Iago keeps track of your progress per word / grammar.

Alex and Zero did an awesome job at developing and running Iago. My japanese is being developed while I watch my favorite animes. I can't wait for what other features they are going to add next!

This feels like a fantastic way to bridge the gap between watching a show in Japanese with English subtitles and watching a show with Japanese subtitles. It feels super intuitive to use so far and I really look forward to seeing the ways that the spaced repetition and deck building tools based on words you heard in shows you watch will be improved upon in the future!

The fact that the English subs are smaller makes it easier to focus on trying to read the Japanese ones and checking the definitions without spoiling the sentences meaning for yourself!

Really love this idea. The integration with Netflix seems flawless and I really enjoy how the kana are highlighted and separated to denote separate words. I would really love a toggle to show the subtitles as they would naturally appear in Kanji but with the option to scroll over and read the kana, or have furigana to help people recognise the kanji be repetition, this would also de-crowd the subtitles on the screen with less characters overall.

This is such a fantastic tool. I have struggled with finding ways to listen to spoken Japanese that isn't "textbook perfect", something most apps just aren't equipped to help with. This allows me to watch some great shows and be able to pick up nuance and differences by character in a way you just can't do with anything else I've tried. It works great and I'm already picking up so much more.
