Set the default account for google meet for users who are signed in to multiple Google accounts. Icon from Font Awesome.

When you work with multiple Google accounts, one small annoyance is having to switch to the correct account every time you open a Google Meet URL. This extension lets you pick a default Google account specifically for Google Meet, whether or not that is the primary Google account you are logged in to.

That allows you to have your personal account as the default account in your browser, but always open Google Meet links with your work account.

Using 'force mode', you can choose whether the extension should always override the set authUser. This is useful if you never use Google Meet in your personal account

Using the 'hide AuthUser after redirect' option, you can set the extension up to remove your authUser parameter once the meeting is loaded with your correct user. This is useful for copying & pasting the link to invite others to join, without including your authUser parameter, which won't always be the same one for others.

Doesn't work when links are opened from an app outside.

Works. I use Opera with the Google extensions addon and it works fine. Remember to close and reopen your browser before assuming it doesn't work.
As of now, you can force the auth-user, so it'll work even with links that already have one. Very good.
The fact that it is open source is a huge plus for me. I wanted to try and do this myself, but I couldn't quite get the Google Extension APIs, so yeah. It seems safe to me and also gave me a chance to study extensions, thank you.

Simple yet very useful. For anyone who has multiple accounts, this is a must-have extension. It also works with PWA app and direct url from default mac calendar.
