A great and safer upgrade from the old "Great suspender" extension. While this one doesn't add commands to the tab right-click menu, you only have to pin the extension icon to the visible extension list.

This way, you can do the same things for your tabs by clicking the icon, and sleep your tab, or sleep all other tabs (this extension calls it "discarding"), or just the others in the window, or group, or even just the tabs to the left or right of the open one.

I have a few of my favourite tabs set to "never discard" such as my music tab, and faceb00k. I also like the option to keep a tab always awake just for one session, for things like when I'm trying to save my spot in a tutorial video on some manufacturers site for using their tools. Very handy.

Finally, working good suspender. I have had problems with other extensions so they change favicon when suspending. And this one works like a charm and has A LOT of options to fine tweak it (but works good right out of the box)

Works really well... I've used it for years!!
I set "Click on icon in toolbar to discard current tab" which works best for me to instantly put active tab to sleep... BAM!!

Does the job well. The exception list keeps on forgetting certain domains, including web.whatsapp.com, which is annoying.
