This works perfectly for me, but only if I sort by Prime first. So sort by prime, then click the extension's icon near your address bar, then click the option you are looking for. Works just fine and is really useful.

Worked for me, sorted things to soonest delivery.

Well I can't say It didn't work.
But I can say it worked in a weird way.
I filtered fastest delivery on amazon and it put the fastest deliveries on the bottom and the slowest on the top of the page.
Weird but I still couldn't find the product I was looking for if you need it once and never again then it is a quick solution.

So it did add an option to the Filter By button, but it didn't actually sort anything. So yeah, doesn't work.
